Yes, i think that kids believe to much on the internet. Sometimes its just plain common sence other times you have to look into it. But whats the fun If kids dont believe things? :p
those things are really stupid!!!!! I can't believe people actually believe this kinda stuff! How could velcro grow in the fields or an octupus in a tree or even a walrus in the mountains!! It is just stupid!! I think that even though some kids beleive it that not all of them do and that doesn't mean they should take the internet away form us but maybe just help us learn more about what is true and what isn't. The internet is very usefull to alot of people and they shouldn't take that away from us. People like teachers or something should just help the younger generations on what is true and what isn't. Cause articles like that isn't good for people to read and maybe they will take it the wrong way and believe stuff that isn't good!!
I think those web pages are completely fake. Some kids might believe that but just becasue some do doesnt mean they all do, the first atrical we read made it sound like all kids believe it and its bad for all kids to use the internet because they arent smart enough to know whats right and wrong. Some kids might believe everything they ready, some kids might not, and some might be a little of both. There's not really much you can do to change a persons beliefs. Unless you can prove to them that its not real, which could be hard to do... i mean that tree octopus seemed pretty convinsing (i'm being very sarcastic there) Sometimes if kids believe everything and people say dont believe everything you read, then next time they read something it makes it hard to know if its real or not... some time things that are true its hard to belive then. To me, its articles like these that make it hard for me to know what i should and shouldnt believe. When people put so much stress on dont bevieve everything you read, then its hard to tell what really is true. I guess thats what i think about all these websites.
I think those sites are totally fake. Even when some kids do believe these things on those websites doesnt mean that all do. They just think that everythings true on the internet because someone told them everything on the internet is true. Some kids don't know the facts from true and false. You can't really change what a person thinks about what the website is about, but you can prove to them that what they think is true..really isn't.. i mean the whole Tree Octopus is pretty insane and the whole Valcro Crop.. wow.. and what about the whole Vampire and Zombie thing? But for me I know what I should and shouldn't read, because it's just a little thing about common sence, do they really think that theres a tree opctopus?..just let them TRY and actually find them.. so i guess that just what i think about these spoof sites!
i think that it is so stipud that people put fake things on the net just becuase they know that litte kids or highschool kids will beleave. since technology is so advadced they can make anything look and sound real so real that people will beleive it.

I think that teachers aren't doing enough cause the kids may become manipulated by what they read or see on the internet. If the teachers just tell their students to just go on the internet, the students might go to a wrong website that seems like its about the topic but it isn't. I dont think that tose stories are true. They all seem fake oo me.

These articles are completely bogus! I cant believe that anybody would actually make an effort to make a website about his information. I can see how easily young kids could be convinced that this is a real site because most of them do look professional. The people that do this probably have a lot of free time and are obviously in the wrong profession.
